Guided tour of Glendalough
Glendalough, the valley of two lakes, is one of the most beautiful places in the Wicklow Mountains. In the 6th century Saint Kevin founded a monastery here and the well-preserved ruins can still be found here today. They form the basis for many stories and legends. The nature in Glendalough is breathtakingly beautiful and the valley has a magical atmosphere. It is the ultimate place to walk and enjoy the scenery.
This guided tour will show you the monastery ruins and takes you on a walk through the beautiful valley of Glendalough and its two lakes. Along the way you will hear all about the beautiful nature and the special stories and legends about Saint Kevin.
The tour ends at the upper lake. From here there are several hiking possibilities, suitable for all fitness levels. I can advise you on which route to take. Those who do not want to walk further can walk back to the starting point via an easy path. Whichever option you choose, it will be guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience.

Legends of Glendalough, an evening walk
From April to September, Witty Walks arranges evening walks in Glendalough.
At the end of the day the lights, the sounds and the nature are different than during the day and there is an almost magical atmosphere in the valley.
This evening walk focuses in a theatrical way on the many myths and legends about Glendalough.
The walk is about 4 kilometres long and runs on an easy to walk, wheelchair friendly, path.
